Review

  1. Joshua 15 lists 36 different boundary landmarks and 114 different cities, towns and villages within those boundaries. With the naming of each one of these God’s people are reminded of God’s provision and faithfulness to them. How good would it be for your soul if you list 114 ways God has been faithful and provided for you? Why not start writing that list now!

  2. In 15:36 the word “But” transitions the narrative from God’s faithfulness to the peoples failure to complete the mission. We also see this failure in 13:13, 16:10 and 17:12-13. There are at least 3 different reasons God’s people did not complete the mission. Reflect on these 3 and honestly assess if/when you embrace these same excuses for not living on God’s disciple making mission.

    1. Prioritizing comfort and ease over the mission (16:10, 17:12-13)

    2. Making excuses for not living on mission (17:14-18)

    3. Putting off the mission (18:1-4)

  3. Which of these 3 reasons above often prevent you from living on mission?
  4. What are you going to do about it?
