Scripture: Joshua 8:1–35

Summary

God is big enough, wise enough and powerful enough to redeem us from the curse of the law.

Review

  • Ask yourself, “Do I really believe the 2 statements below are true?”. And if so, what are you going to do about it?
    • You are too weak to handle your smallest problems.
    • God is strong enough to handle your biggest ones.
  • Deuteronomy 20:18 tells us that the world is on the move to “teach" us to “practice" things that could tempt us to sin against God. In light of that, consider these two questions:
    • What sinful practice is the world teaching you that you are buying into?
    • What practice has the world taught you to believe that is causing you to sin against God?
  • Remember, every time you pick up your phone, search on your computer, turn on the radio or tv, you should remind yourself, “I am about to be taught to practice/believe something”.
  • In light of Deuteronomy 28:15-68, celebrate Galatians 3:10-14!!! “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us” and He has also secured all the blessings!
