Where it all Began
Christ Church came from the desire to plant a Gospel-centered community right in the heart of Mount Airy. After countless visits, wise counsel, and plenty of prayer, we were sent out in 2014 by our friends at Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD. Since settling into Mount Airy, God has opened many doors for us to love and serve our neighbors! Here are just a few of the ways we’ve been able to pitch in:
- Partnering with Lorien Nursing Home to bring Sunday services
- Serving hot cocoa at Mount Airy Tree lighting and parade
- Serving at Oktoberfest
- Serving up warm meals
- Lending a hand to those facing tough times
- Offering counseling and support
Non-denominational, but not alone
We’re a non-denominational church with no desire to stand alone. While our local body of elders guides us, we’re dedicated to remaining deeply connected to the broader body of Christ. We’ve consistently nurtured relationships and vibrant partnerships with a diverse network of churches and organizations, which enrich our community and expand our impact. We are also deeply rooted into the timeless truths of Christianity, the kind you’ll find in the historic reformed confessions and creeds.
